Duquesne University School of Law presents a historic event Gandhi: The Lawyer on Thurs., Nov. 5, 2015, at 3:30 – 5 p.m., in the Duquesne University Power Center Ballroom. The program features a panel discussing Mahatma Gandhi’s career as an attorney in India and South Africa and how this work helped shape his role as an international human rights figure.

Participants include Gandhi’s grandson, Rajmohan Gandhi, and scholar Dr. Charles DiSalvo, author of M.K. Gandhi: Attorney at Law. Duquesne Law Dean Ken Gormley is the moderator.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust is co-sponsoring the event as part of India in Focus. The program is free and open to the public. No tickets are needed, but registration is suggested. A reception will follow the panel discussion.
