Principal Second Violin

Principal second violin Jennifer Ross joined the Pittsburgh Symphony in the fall of 1998. She began her orchestral career as Associate Concertmaster of the Honolulu Symphony. She went on to spend five years as a member of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati Pops. She has also performed with the Indianapolis Symphony, l'Orchestre Symphonique de Montreal, the Detroit Symphony and spent three years as Concertmaster of the Vermont Symphony.
An active recitalist and chamber musician Ms. Ross has performed extensively throughout Europe and on numerous concert series in North America. She has regularly played with the Cincinnati Chamber Players, the University of Michigan Chamber Players, the Strings in the Mountains Festival in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and with members of America's foremost orchestras at the Grand Teton Music Festival in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
Ms. Ross is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music where she studied with the late Szymon Goldberg, former Concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic. While at Curtis she held the position of Concertmaster of the Curtis Orchestra under Max Rudolf.
