First Violin
Scottish-born Rosemary Harris joined the Pittsburgh Symphony First Violin section in 1988. She is a former member of the Basel (Switzerland) Symphony Orchestra, and former associate concertmaster of the Nashville Symphony. Miss Harris earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in linguistics from Victoria University (in Wellington, New Zealand) and was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship in 1980 to study in the United States. She later earned her Master of Music degree from Yale University.
