About This Performance

Please note that this program has changed since its original publication in the 2008/2009 BNY Mellon Grand Classics subscription brochure. The Haydn Sinfonia concertante was originally programmed on this concert as opposed to the Haydn Oboe Concerto.

** Soloist change**
Due to illness, Mojca Erdmann has had to cancel her performance and will be replaced by Celena Shafer.

The vivacious musical masterpiece Carmina burana, one of the most popular works for large chorus, orchestra and soloists, has become so well-loved and iconic that we hear it all around us.
