About This Performance

Bernstein’s work is an arrangement of dances from the musical comedy On the Town and his audience favorite An American in Paris is a musical story of an American experiencing the energy of Paris. Mennin's "Moby Dick" distills the tension and atmosphere of Melville's classic novel into a ten-minute masterpiece. Baritone Gregg Baker returns to Midland to perform Richard Danielpour's Pastime, a celebration of baseball legends Josh Gibson, Jackie Robinson and Hank Aaron.
