About This Performance

Enjoy the artistry of Yefim Bronfman in Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 1, the melodic Rainbow Body by PSO composer of the year and Mahler's epic symphony.

INSIDE LOOK: The Tibetan Buddhist concept of "Rainbow Body" is about how the human spirit at death is absorbed into the universe as light and energy, similar to the phenomenon of dying stars. Accompanying the performance of Theofanidis's "Rainbow Body" on Heinz Hall stage, the PSO will show spectacular images of dying stars taken by the Hubble Telescope.
