"Tribute" Concert

The PSO, Marcus Roberts Trio, and Conductor Daniel Meyer during the 2009 "Tribute" Concert

The PSO is proud to present the “Tribute” Concert in association with the August Wilson Center for African American Culture and the Hill House Association.

“Tribute” is the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra’s symphonic celebration of African American culture and influence designed for the community.  It is the intent of the program to create an orchestral concert which reflects the music and cultural contributions of the African American community.  Through this program, the PSO seeks to engage a diverse audience of concertgoers from a wide array of musical backgrounds for this annual event at Heinz Hall.

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is committed to presenting the “Tribute” concert on an annual basis.
