Welcome to an amazing season! The 2008-2009 PNC Pops Season combines the incomparable Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra with a variety of musical styles. The PSO blends jazz, Broadway, and Motown for an exceptional new season full of surprises. We’ll welcome Linda Eder paying tribute to Judy Garland, while Movin’ Out sensation, Michael Cavanaugh, sings the music of Billy Joel, Elton John, Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard. Highmark Holiday Pops brings your favorite holiday music and Valentine’s weekend concerts pay tribute to the music of Jerome Kern. Bernadette Peters brings her style and legendary voice to Heinz Hall, which will also witness the footwork of Gene Kelly in some of his most famous films. Last but not least, singing the music of Ray Charles, Ellis Hall will astound you with his voice and likeness. You won’t want to miss this magnificent season.
