The 2011-2012 season will be announced in the coming weeks, and you will be t he first to hear about the great music, great artists, and featured festivals.  In appreciation of support of the PSO's Annual Fund, eligible donors are invited to an exclusive reception where they have the opportunity to meet Manfred Honeck, enjoy a performance by PSO musicians, and gain insights into the 2011-2012 BNY Mellon Grand Classics Season.

PSO composer of the year, Joan Tower, chose 4 works by young composers from local universities to be read by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.  Ms. Tower will coach and give insights to these aspiring conductors, as well as participate in a post-concert talk-back with expert panel including PSO Resident Conductor Larry Loh and PSO Musicians.



A Conversation with Angela Conner

In thanks of your generous support of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, you are invited to join us for an evening of conversation with sculptor Angela Conner. During the week of its installation, be among the first to view the new Heinz Hall garden sculpture and learn about the process and inspiration behind its creation directly from the artist. Angela Conner is one of Britain's most successful and celebrated sculptors. Her large-scale kinetic sculptures harness the natural forces of gravity, wind, water, sun and shadow in a unique and subtle way. Conner's work is included in private and public collections across the globe from 10 Downing Street to the Carnegie Museum of Pittsburgh.


Community Side-By-Side Concert

The Donor Appreciation & Community Side-By-Side Concert  is one of the PSO's many Education and Community Engagement programs.  Now in its 12 th  year, the Community Side-By-Side program provides adult musicians in the community a unique opportunity to perform alongside their Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra counterparts.  The result is an evening of music that is a delight for both PSO and community musicians, as well as the audience.
Eligible Annual Fund donors are entitled to 4 free tickets.
