Anne-Sophie Mutter

Violin:
Ms. Mutter performs on 3 violins — 2 Stradivarius called “The Emiliani of 1703” and “Lord Dunn-Raven of 1710,” and a Regazzi made in 2005.

Violin: 1699 Stradivarius “Countess Polignac”

  • Recipient of the 2008 Avery Fisher Prize for musical excellence
  • Debuted with the Jerusalem Symphony at age 10
  • Received his “big break” when he substituted for Itzhak Perlman with the London Symphony Orchestra in 1989
  • Tours and records with his sister, Orli, a pianist

  • First performed with the PSO at age 14

  • Received the 2007 Avery Fisher Prize and the 2008 Academy of Achievement Award for exceptional accomplishment in the arts
  • Honored with a Distinguished Alumni Service Award from Indiana University only two years after he graduated
  • Made his first solo appearance with The Philadelphia Orchestra at the age of 14
