About This Performance

Of his five violin concertos, Mozart's Fifth is nicknamed "Turkish". Conductor Andris Nelsons, a protégé of Mariss Jansons, leads the orchestra in the familiar tone poem by Richard Strauss featured in the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey.
