Dog Auditions

We are planning an exciting program that will include some furry friends for our concert at the 55th Annual Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival on June 9 at 7 p.m. We are looking for Pittsburghers and their dogs to be part of the performance of Leopold Mozart's Hunting Horn Symphony. Please submit a video clip of you and your dog to be considered for the part (please see details of the audition requirements below).

If selected, you and your dog will join your Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra on stage and your furry friend will be asked to bark on command in collaboration with our four horn soloists!

  • Deadline for video submissions – April 30, 2014
  • Notification via email for applicants who will proceed to the final audition – May 7, 2014
  • Live Final Auditions, Heinz Hall – May 13, 2014

Following the final audition on May 13, four dogs will be selected to participate in a performance of Leopold Mozart's Hunting Horn Symphony on June 9 at Point State Park, Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. On the video clip, which can be submitted as a YouTube link, please show us clearly that your dog can:

  • sit on command
  • stay on command
  • bark on command
  • silence on command
