It's a day off! |

The outing today included trips between Gainesville and Jacksonville – a beautiful drive with a portion on Highway A1A (a highway running right along the ocean on Florida’s east coast). |

It was overcast but the temperature was about 50F … too brisk to swim but just right for a bike ride. So, I stopped at Anastasia State Park and rode around on my mountain bike. It’s flat here, unlike Western, PA, so the pace was quick. |

Dinner at Leonardo's 706 was Florida Grouper...it was delicious! The 7 layer chocolate cake was good, too! Everything was first rate.
Even though it rained this was a good day off….in the morning we’ll get an early start for the trip to Fort Lauderdale. I wonder if the chocolate cake on the coast can compare to today’s’? Looks like more of Highway A1A will be covered. I’ll have to stop at a rest area along the way and warm up. |
