Join local writers, musicians of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and esteemed conductor Leonard Slatkin for In Memory Of…Remembrance and Dedication, a program celebrating life, death, and memory. The evening will explore works created in dedication to family and friends, including the Prokofiev Cello Sonata in C Major and Slatkin’s own original composition Kinah, written to commemorate his late parents. A screening of the short film The Art of Fugue, created in memoriam to former PSO Principal Bass Trombonist Murray Crewe by his daughter Emily Crewe, will immediately follow the performance.
