PSO and Partners Celebrate 143 Day of Kindness in PA

Fred Rogers believed that performing and sharing music is a powerful way of giving and showing kindness. On this 143rd day of the year, we want to join the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in spreading the message of kindness through 143DayinPA.

The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, joined by vocalist Katy Williams, performs “Won’t You Be My Neighbor” from The Neighborhood Symphony: Songs of Fred Rogers arranged by Richard Kaufman to encourage everyone to show love and kindness today and every day.

“Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” from The Neighborhood Symphony: Songs by Fred Rogers, arranged by Richard Kaufman. Thank you to The Fred Rogers Company and arranger Richard Kaufman for granting permission to use “Won’t You Be My Neighbor.” Watch Past Episodes of Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. Special PBS excerpt featuring a visit with Mister Rogers and cellist Yo-Yo Ma.

We invite everyone to celebrate 143 Day with the Pittsburgh Symphony and our arts and culture neighbors who make our community so special. Please click on each picture and discover the many ways to express kindness and love with our friends and neighbors.
