PITTSBURGH PIRATES PITCHER STEVEN BRAULT TO SING AT PITTSBURGH SYMPHONY'S PNC POPS "BLOCKBUSTER BROADWAY!" SHOW THIS WEEKEND

PITTSBURGH, PA—Before he steps on the mound for Spring Training, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Steven Brault will step on the stage at Heinz Hall as a special guest vocalist in the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra’s PNC Pops concert “Blockbuster Broadway!” taking place this weekend, February 7-9, at Heinz Hall. Audiences will spend an evening with hit Broadway shows, thrilling to the music of Les Misérables, Gypsy, Chicago, 42nd Street, Hamilton, and many more. Brault will join Stuart Chafetz, conductor, vocalists Jessica Hendy, Kerry O’Malley, and Kelli Rabke, and the Hamlisch-Page Student Choir which is under the direction of Christine Hestwood.

Steven Brault is a vocalist and a left-handed starting pitcher for the MLB’s Pittsburgh Pirates, for which he made his Major League debut in July of 2016. A native of El Cajon, CA, Brault attended Regis University in Denver, CO, where he majored in music performance with a vocal performance emphasis, and was a three-year starter as both a pitcher and outfielder. Brault has sung the National Anthem prior to two games at PNC Park, before games in the minor leagues, and also participated in theater and choir programs in his childhood. Brault recently finished recording “A Pitch to Broadway,” which will be released on April 3. In this album, Brault performs 12 songs from some of the most well-known musicals of all-time, surrounded by the outstanding musicians in the industry.
