PITTSBURGH SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA ANNOUNCES EIGHT NEW MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES

PITTSBURGH, PA—The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce the election of eight new members to its Board of Trustees.  “We’re thrilled to welcome this exceptional and diverse group of leaders who are committed to the vitality of our region and who believe in the deep value that the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra brings to the community,” said Anthony L. Bucci, Chair, Board of Trustees of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

“With the new season of concerts and community engagement underway, a new recording receiving worldwide acclaim, and our 25th European tour just ahead, it’s an exciting time to be a part of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. We’re grateful for their support and leadership,” said Melia Tourangeau, President and CEO of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Members of the Board of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra serve three-year terms. Those recently elected are:

    • Robin J. Bernstein: Community Volunteer
    • Hon. Marita Garrett: Mayor of Wilkinsburg
    • Loren Hudson: Vice President of Human Resources for Comcast’s Keystone Region.
    • Brian D. Ludwick: Market Executive, Managing Director, Merrill Lynch; Market President, Bank of America
    • Hilary Mercer: Vice President of Pennsylvania Chemicals, Shell
    • William H. Rackoff: President, Andritz Asko, Inc.
    • Satbir Singh, MD: urologist in private practice
    • Markus Weber: Vice President and Chief Information Officer, MSA
