Parties of Note
The PSO started Parties of Note nearly two decades ago when generous hosts opened up their homes for a private concert. The PSO works with the hosts to craft a guest list for their private concert with a chamber ensemble of PSO Musicians or a PSO Guest Artist. Notable PSO guest artists who have performed at Parties of Note include Emanuel Ax, Gil Shaham, Joshua Bell, Behzod Abduraimov, Beatrice Rana, Marvin Hamlisch and Sarah Chang just to name a few.
To offer your home or to find out more information about hosting a party on behalf of the PSO, please contact Dawn McWilliams, Director of Events, 412-392-4830 or dmcwilliams@pittsburghsymphony.org for more details.
Thank you for the success of the 2025 Opening Night Gala!
At the beginning of each season, the PSO plans a One-Night-Only Gala Concert that features Maestro Manfred Honeck, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and a featured Guest Artist. This special gala concert celebrates and advances the PSO’s goal of establishing a music learning ecosystem in Western Pennsylvania that will develop the next generation of classical artists.
